To the Lord of the Mire, Lord Ser Rickart Nayland, Ser Rygar Nayland writes.
The knights and men of Stonebridge entered into an engagement with a number of armed peasantry, under the leadership of one Ser Jaremy Terrick and a pair of sellswords in the fields north of that town. At the cost of one Stonebridge levyman killed, and another taking a minor wound, nine of the enemy foot were slain, including two mercenaries, with six wounded and the remaining ten captured whole.
Ser Jaremy was captured, with only light injury, and is presently a prisoner of the Lady Valda Tordane at Stonebridge. In this action, your son Ser Riordan accounted himself well, taking command of the Outriders with a competence well beyond his experience. With Your Lordship's permission, I would wish to keep him for a time at Stonebridge, to draw further use from his skills. Ser Bruce Longbough acquitted himself in accordance with his reputation. The levied troops in their first action kept appropriate discipline, and executed their orders acceptably.
By my hand on this, the 17th of November, in the 288th year since the Landing,
Ser Rygar Nayland
