Lord Artur Terrick is not a nobleman, that is to say, while his official position within House Terrick is nobility, his natural affinity to action has never leaned towards that of a nobleman. He is Jerold's uncle, having been born to Jerold's Parent's Parents. He had never been good at the game of nobility. True that Artur knows his way around administration when he has to, but his primary mission had always been physical.
Growing up however, he had every chance to excell at whatever he wanted, and the life of a warrior it was. Not a knight, no, they spend their time gallavanting around on their steeds with their pretty lances and show off armor, no, that was not his type of tea. Artur was a soldier, a fine one, and a master of the blade as fair as any knight. He was trained by the same person that trained Lord Jerold and when the call came for troops to march on the throne, he went, despite the views of his younger brother Ser Revyn. In that battle, he earned his own glory next to all the other warriors of House Terrick that appeared. Then he got shipped home nearly as quick as he arrived and with only a few wounds to show for it.
Back home, he settled into his occupation for the months between wars, administration and tracking for hunting parties. Hunting was an important part of life here and his tracking skills were known, which made him a great asset to any hunting party, whether for sport or other. Occasionally, he even showed up for court and other house business, occasionally, and by occasionally he means almost never.
When Ser Revyn was killed during the invasion, it was only natural that Artur take over. After all, Artur had the skill and had more than proven himself more than once, both in the invasion of the Iron Islanders and the war for the crown. Despite not being a knight, he was still a force to be reckoned with and had the administration abilities to handle the guards. Thus, it was done. And here we are, with Artur at the Roost as the Master at Arms.
Note: These are Artur's IC Feelings, not my OOC ones. Thanks! Note 2: Withheld means I haven't met them yet and will not have an opinion until I rp with them.

House Terrick: My house, My Family, Mine. I protect, guide and direct this one. I will always be there for all of them, always be ready to assist, even if my grumpy old attitude makes it seem otherwise. Never forget, uncle is always proud, Artur is always aware and as such, I will always be ready to die for you.
Myself: I'm a grumpy old man. Uncle to the rest of the roost. My view of the world has been twisted, turned, dried and stabbed over and over again. All the awful things i've seen, the war crimes, the atrocities. I can truly say I have a strong dislike for the world we live in. However, that is a separate thing from my family. My family is the only good thing I have, they will be protected as long as I can hold a sword without shaking. I do worry about them all the time, but I guess most of them just see me as the grumpy old uncle. It does make it better, easier so to say. I've never been good with talking. Except to Lucienne, who gets showered with gifts from dear old uncle Artur - gotta spoil her for Jerold after all.
Ser Jarod Rivers: Jarod. Jarod is Jerold's progeny, someone brought into the family without any prior warning. It really made a lot of the older ones angry, so the public announcement that Jarod was being given a place in the family gave me time to laugh at them. Maybe that's why I like Jarod so much, because he represents everything that the older ones among us hate. Not really, he's actually a good kid and great with a sword. Besides, someone has to accept him.
Lord Ser Jerold Terrick: Jerold is Artur's Nephew. He's a good sort, strong and a good leader.
Lady Evangeline Terrick: This one is one of the better ones of the family. She's Jerold's wife and she's pretty intelligent. I can appreciate that. So she has points in my book.
Ser Jaremy Middleton: This one ran away, throwing away his namesake to go fight for the night watch…HA! Thatta boy. Tell em all to go stuff it up their pie hole. You do what you want kiddo and always know that Uncle Artur, while still a grumpy old man, is quietly wishing you the best.
Lord Jacsen Terrick: I haven't yet decided I have much ever to say about Jacsen. He should make a good lord one day.
Lady Lucienne Terrick: Lucienne. There is only one word for her: My adorable little niece. Wait, that was four words. It doesn't matter, I spoil her. I will always spoil her. She's just so cute and I lack a hobby. Spoiling her is helping during the peace times and giving me something to do.
Lady Anais Banefort: I don't particularly mind but she jumped over to Jacsen pretty quickly. Just my opinion.
Squire Caytiv Hill: One day, I'll hit this boy in the head and something other than a resounding thud will come out. One day.
Miss Avinashi Ruhi: When did we pick..I don't even know what to say. She's a herbologist or something. Fine with me. She stays away from me, I stay away from her. Everyone wins.
Ser Hardwicke Blayne: Hardwicke. Not to be confused with Artur since they're both pretty grumpy, but hell, at this point, we can consider it good that Artur hasn't assaulted Hardwicke yet.
House Nayland: The Naylands are a largish family, no doubt, but they're getting full of themselves. Openly starting diplomatic fights with other families and expecting that to blow over is too much. Their desire to undermine, capture and control any land they see, regardless of owner, is also something that needs to be dealt with. However, open war with the Nayland now would be wrong, not the least because there are certainly more important matters. Also, you don't give a child acknowledgement when he acts out. That's what the Nayland are doing.
Lord Rickart Nayland: Withheld
Ser Bruce Longbough:Withheld
Lady Isolde Tordane of Stonebridge: Withheld
Lady Valda Tordane: Withheld
Ser Riordan Nayland: Withheld
Lord Rafferdy Nayland: Withheld
Young Lord Ryker Nayland: Withheld
Ser Rygar Neyland: Withheld
Rowan Nayland: Withheld
House Mallister: Mallister is perhaps more sociopathic than I am. I can accept this, but it makes even me think twice about getting close to them. Oh wait, I'm supposed to be nice to them - at least outwardly. Well, tough. I'll barely manage a smile.
Ser Aeric Mallister: Withheld
Lady Muirenn Mallister: Withheld
Young Lord Patrek Mallister: Withheld
House Frey: ..This man has more bastards than I have women in a year. Which isn't hard, because I haven't taken women for several years, but still, he could fight a war with the shear number of bastards he has running around. Despicable.
Ser Revyn Terrick: Sad day when we lost him, but don't worry brother, I took them down for you and I'll make sure to send all the glory to where you are.
